Kid Chef Abby

As always, spending time with Auntie’s angel is always a treat although keeping up with young children can be work. This past weekend was an extra special treat since Abby was the chef with some help from Tee. Chef Abby fixed a Ham and Cheese Galette and since we’re eating healthy, we substituted the ham with MorningStar Sausage. If that wasn’t enough, she and Chef Tee also fixed a chicken and rice disk that was yummy yummy.

Just season it and cook ’til it is done

Just season it and cook ’til it is done!!  This is a phrase that I have spoken often when cooking and it drives Tee and other recipe-cooks insane.  It’s not my intention to drive someone insane but I got it honest from my father who told my sister and I the same thing while growing up.  I don’t think I have ever seen my father look at a recipe much less use one as he’s always creating something slightly different each time.

Multi-task Cooking

To add fuel to the fire, both of us maybe doing a multitude of unrelated tasks such as ironing, washing clothes, vacuuming, or even working on my laptop while food is cooking on the stove.  Only once or twice have I forgotten the boiling eggs on the stove (ooops).

Now that it’s the holidays, I have to think of something new to create…hmmm….what shall I create for Christmas?
